Breakfast in the Cafeteria.
Kennedy School is excited to announce that we will begin serving breakfast before the start of our school day. Beginning on Monday, October 4th, 2010, second grade students who choose to eat breakfast at school will come into the cafeteria at 7:40am.
The expectation is that students will have completed breakfast prior to the start of the 7:55am school day. This will allow the teachers more classroom time for educational experiences. At this time only 3rd grade and 2nd grade classrooms will be eating breakfast before school.
If your student will be receiving breakfast at school, they will enter Kennedy School early and go directly to the cafeteria for breakfast. Bus students will be directed to enter the building through door #12 and Walkers will enter through Door #3. Students who receive breakfast at school will have an Orange sticker on their nametag. Students should have their nametags attached to their backpack to help the process run smoothly.
If you would like your child to have breakfast at school it must be paid for the week in advance. You must state that the money is for breakfast. The cost for breakfast is:
Full Pay-Breakfast for one week $5.50
Reduced-Breakfast for one week $1.50
Please feel free to call if you have questions about the program.

Santa's Visit
Hi Everyone,
I hope you are having a fun and relaxing break? Just to update what happened the last week before Christmas break.
There were special activities all week.
Students made and decorated Gingerbread houses and Gingerbread men.
Kindergarten read and looked for the Runaway Gingerbread man, which was a lot of fun for the kitchen to have a part of. But we were not very reliable on making sure he didn't get out of the oven : O.
We had the most wonderful assembly! The children did a wonderful job. 105, 115 and 208 changed to words to the 12 day of Christmas and it was great! Everyone wore their PJ's to school, even me for the first time, it was fun.
Santa came to visit all students and gave them a bag with a coloring book w/crayons and a bag of grapes or apples. He wanted to send the message to eat healthy.
Everyone had hot chocolate and cookies while watching The Polar Express.
All in all it was a wonderful week.
